A popular gospel musician in the Upper East Region, Mr. Elvis Nsoyine has expressed concern over the drastic decline of financial prospects in the music industry especially in the Upper East Region as result of the emergence of various music storage devices and easy access to music.
Mr. Nsoyine said “most people no longer buy CDs or cassettes because of the emergence of storage devices like pen drives, mobile phones which is affecting us seriously, because previously selling CDs was our major means of making money but that seems to be eluding us.
The “Makatarimina” hit singer told Host Mr. Simon Agana, on the Word Community Watch on Word Fm in Zuarungu, that the situation has made the music industry unattractive.
“ It is passion that is now keeping us in the industry. If you want to look at the financial returns, you would not do music again because it is no longer lucrative “
Mr. Elvis Nsoyine would launch his fifth album on Saturday , 9th April,2022, at the Pentecost church in Bolgatanga Central.
