NPP Primaries: Tangoba Wins Kofi Ada, Promises to Invade and Conquer NDC Territory

The Upper East Regional Minister and former ambassador to Italy, Hon. Tangoba Paulina has won the NPP primaries in the navrongo central constituency to represent the NPP in the 2020 presidential and parliamentary elections.

Hon Tangoba Paulina, affectionately called the lioness by her supporters, defied all odds to beat the incumbent Member of Parliament for the constituency and Minister of Aviation, Hon. Joseph kofi Ada to claim the single slot.

Hon. Tangoba Paulina pulled 307 votes representing 53.58% as against Joseph Kofi Ada who pulled 266 votes representing 46.42%.

Hon Kofi Ada who is representing the Navrongo central constituency for the third time was very hopeful of winning the primaries to face off with the NDC parliamentary candidate, Samson Tangombu in the 2020 general elections. He however failed to win the trust of the delegates and lost.

Hon Tangoba in a speech after the declaration of the results served notice to the NDC and its parliamentary candidate, Samson Tangonbu that he will invade his electoral area and win the votes there

 ““Let me send this message to Sampson Tangombu Chiragia [that] I’m coming to his house Yobania to win the votes there. That is where we are going to start. We will take it from there and we will take every electoral area and we will win massively for the New Patriotic Party come 7th December 2020,” she said to.

The defeat of Hon. Joseph Kofi Ada has however many faithfulls of the NDC got jubilating. They see the victory of Tangoba as a lose line to the victory of the NDC parliamentary candidate, Sampson Tangombu Chiragia.
