2024 Election: Change Your Voting Pattern for Better Development Under an NPP MP – Alibo

Hon Robert Ayinenaba Alibo , parliamentary candidate for the Talensi constituency

The parliamentary candidate for the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Talensi constituency, Mr. Robert Ayinenaba Alibo, has urged the people of Pwalungu to vote massively for him and the presidential candidate, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, in the upcoming elections.

Addressing the community during the inauguration of the District Road Improvement Programme, Mr. Alibo encouraged residents to change their voting pattern to ensure significant improvements in local development.

He noted that since 1992, the Talensi constituency has given the National Democratic Congress (NDC) over 30 years of parliamentary governance, while the NPP has held power for only two year’s. He compared this situation to a father who favors one son over another, arguing that such favouritism does not provide a fair assessment of their capabilities in delivering development.

Mr. Alibo urged the people of Pwalungu to embrace the NPP government, highlighting its contributions to the community and asserting that politics should focus on development.

“As we approach the 2024 polls, I believe it’s clear who should represent you in Parliament. Since 1992, we have witnessed the performance of both major political parties. The NDC has enjoyed parliamentary power for over 30 years, while the NPP has had only two years. Is that a fair distribution of political power? If not, then God has given us another opportunity on December 7, 2024, to rethink and change our voting pattern,” Alibo stated.

He emphasized the importance of supporting the development-oriented chief of Pwalungu, Naba Akanpiisi-Kurugu, and expressed his commitment to working alongside him to foster progress in the community.

Mr. Alibo also mentioned the significance of using District Road Improvement Programme (DRIP) equipment to begin construction on the Pwalungu-Guborogo road and other crucial routes. He noted that Pwalungu serves as the gateway to the Talensi constituency and the Upper East Region, making it essential to seek the chief’s blessings for these projects.

Naba Ko-gbira Maatisike expressed gratitude to Mr. Alibo and DCE Thomas Doanab Wuni Pearson for bringing DRIP equipment to the community. He emphasized that improved road connectivity would lead to development and reduce post-harvest losses for local farmers, who currently face challenges due to inaccessibility to their farms.

Naba Ko-gbira Maatisike urged his people to support and vote for Mr. Robert Ayinenaba Alibo and Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia on December 7, 2024, to help bring development to the community.
