Bawku conflict: Youth bites MCE; fingers Veep , others.

A youth group named Kussaug Youth Association has bemoan what they describe as the bias posture of the municipal chief executive for Bawku.  According to them, Hon. Amadu Hamza has failed the neutrality test in handling the Bawku conflict. The group accused the head of MUSEC for making allies with one Sule Yerimia, said to be his maternal uncle to gang up against one of the feuding factions.

When word news contacted the Bawku  municipal chief executive Mr Amadu Hamza , he  promise to respond to the youth allegations at the  appropriate time.

They called on vice president Mahamudu Bawumia to speak up on the mater. Adding that his silence confirms a notion that his kinsmen are banking hopes on his office hence their refusal to respect a supreme court ruling on the Bawku chieftaincy matter.

Bawku unrest: Blame bias MCE and silent Bawumia.

We write with deep shock and dismay following the recent renewed conflict that has befallen our beloved Bawku. These needless and unwarranted destruction of lives and property could have been vetoed if the head of MUSEC acted on neutral grounds. It is rather sad that as head of MUSEC, the Municipal chief executive, Hamza Amadu in collaboration with his maternal uncle, Sule Yerimiah, a council of state member have decided to form a son-father clique against one faction.

On numerous occasions, Hon. Amadu Hamza failed to show neutral leadership in managing the conflict. There are audio tapes to prove his bias attitude. Bawku was very peaceful until Hamza and his uncle took over political affairs of the enclave.

Hamza Amadu has portrayed to the world that he has failed in curtailing the ongoing conflict in Bawku. The time is due for the appointing authority to replace him with a neutral person.  He has failed to learn from his predecessors. All other parts of the region are enjoying peace except Hamza’s yard. He should bow down his head in shame and exit respectfully. The internal security head has failed.

As lovers of peace, we humbly request that Amadu Hamza should be replaced with a peace-loving neutral fellow.

We are equally shocked that the second gentleman of the country, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, a Mamprusi kinsman is quiet ever since the conflict erupted almost a year ago. It is a fact that Dr. Bawumia’s voice at this time could have help avert some of these needless attacks, but his silence on the matter has given room for us to believe that he is in total support of what his kinsmen are doing in Bawku. Their refusal to respect a supreme court ruling and their apparent display of arrogance towards the laws of the land show that they have the full support of powerful hands at the presidency and that includes Dr. Bawumiah.

If kussasis domiciled in Nalerigu and other Mamprugu land decide to challenge the authority of the Nayeri, Bawumia would have voice out.  So, what is holding Bawumia from speaking?

As peace loving folks, we wish to call for peace in our beloved traditional enclave. We also wish to once again call on the security agencies to arrest warmongering social media accounts handlers such as Bawku links, T Blow nash, Fati Moses among others.

It is important to note that one Aminu Janga, a local chief at Lukula and one Naa Tampuri who was arrested last year for his role in the conflict has resumed his warmongering poster again. He is strongly inciting his kinsmen to take up arms. Aminu Janga and his gang including a national security officer at Walewale stopped some commercial vehicles headed for southern Ghana from the Upper-East direction in search for Kussasis to kill.

Asuntaba A Rashid .End……
