UE/R Presents 12 Athletes For National Cross Country.

12 Athletes have been selected from the various MMDA to represent Upper East Region in an upcoming National Cross Country at Akim Oda in Accra in February 2022. This was made known by the Upper East Regional Directorate of National Sports Authority on Saturday, 22nd January 2022 at the Bolgatanga Senior High School in Winkongo.

Information was gathered by Word Sports news during their maiden edition.

The participants, who were made of both male and female took the opportunity to compete in this year’s regional justify-your-inclusion competition with the hope of booking a place to represent the region at the upcoming National Cross Country.

At the end of the competition, the best twelve athletes were selected from both male and female category, six each to represent Upper East Region.
The event was blessed with the presence of the Bolga East District Chief Executive (Hon. David Amoah), The Regional Director Of Sports (Mr. Iddrisu B. Ahmad), Coaches and the Regional PE Coordinator.

The District Chief Executive Bolga East District, Hon. David Amoah who was at the program, advised the athletes to pay much attention to their coaches and work very hard in order to make a history for the region and also to benefit themselves in the world of sports.

The Upper East Regional Sports Director, Mr. Iddrisu B. Ahmad expressed his appreciation to the coaches and all sports personnel present who made the event successful and to the DCE for his presence and words of encouragement.
