It was all joyful for Daboore community in Zuarungu as their community team, Daboore United crowned champions of the 7th edition of the Bolga East Annual Football Gala. Daboore Utd beat Ashford FC 5-4 on penalties after a goalless draw in open play.
15 Communities in the Bolgatanga East constituency competed among themselves in getting the ultimate prize but only one stood out. The gala started on 23rd December, 2021 and ended on 2nd January, 2022 using three venues namely; Agric Park, yarigabissi Park and Zuarungu Catholic church Park.
This year’s gala attracted a lot a support from individuals including the Member of Parliament for Bolga East and the District Chief executive which makes the awards for this year attractive as compare to previous galas.
In attendance for the climate of the gala were, Member of Parliament for Bolgatanga East Constituency, Hon. Dr. Dominic Ayine, District Chief executive for Bolga East District, Hon. David Amoah, Mr. Mathew Amoah, Mr. Lance Adogba, both NPP and NDC party Chairmen and supporters and Representatives of Dr. Nadia.
The Member of Parliament for Bolgatanga East constituency, Hon. Dr. Dominic Ayine in his speech thanked the youth of the constituency for coming together to organize a gala like this, which he thinks will promote unity among themselves for development. He advice them not to allow politices to divide them. He emphasised that, he will see to it for the fencing of the Agric park to prevent encroachment.
The organizers thanked individuals who made donations and were present at the climate of the gala.

2nd Runner up – Tepola FC ( Certificate, football, set of Jersey and a cash prize of Ghc 1, 100.00)
Four place community – That’s the way ( Certificate football, set of Jersey and a cash prize of Ghc 900.00
Individual awards
Best Goalkeeper – Anonye Wisdom Nsobila ( 300.00)
Top scorer – Aloke Ernest (300.00)
