The workers of the majour drink distributing company in the Upper East Region, LESAKEN Enterprise, were on Saturday 4th September,2021, treated to good music, food and meat at an annual dinner and awards night organised by the company at the GNAT hall in Bolgatanga to celebrate a successful year.
LESKEN Enterprise is the biggest wholesale distributor of alcoholic and none-alcoholic beverages in the Upper East region. The company which has existed for the past 40 years, distributes drinks using tracks to all the 15 districts of the region even to the remotest part of the region, making drinks available to many patrons of the various beverages.
In a way to appreciate the handwork and sacrifice of the workkforce in the past year, the company organised a dinner and award night to dine and award staff of the company.
The CEO of LESKEN Enterprise, Mr. Kenneeth Anewennah announced a GHc50,000.00 child education fund to support the education of the staff who want to pursue tertiary education.
In all, about 50 staff of the company received award prices ranging from double door and deep fridges, television sets, motor bikes, citations and cash prices.
Deliverying his keynote address, the CEO of LESKEN Enterprise, Mr. Kenneth Anewennsh said the contribution of the workers has helped the company make major gains in the beverage industry Ghana.
” The company has chalked brilliant performances. We did the best Lager in the whole of Ghana, we also were the best in Guineas stout in the whole of Ghana. It also heart warming and refreshing to know that with your contribution, we did 13.5% of the entire volume of guineas Ghana ltd. What it means is that if LESKEN sneezes, Guineas will cough”
Mr. Anewennah said the contribution of the workers has placed the company as a major force in the beverage industry. He said LESKENEnterprisee alone accounted for 13.5% of the entire volume of Guineas Ghana ltd ” we did 13.5% of the entire volume of Guineas Ghana ltd. what it means is that if LESKEN sneezes, Guineas will cough”
Mr. Anewennah attributed the successes achieved by the company to the dedication and hard work of the company which cannot go unnoticed, a reason why the company has organised the dinner and awards night to dine and award the staff for their contribution.
“Overall, LESKEN has done well and it is important that we recorganise this and that is why we have decided to congregate here to thank God for how far he has brought us especially the past year. I also dedicate this to my parents who started this company 40 years ago.”
Mr. Kenneth thanked the staff, right from the the security man to the topmost staff of the company.
The overall best staff of the company for 2020 went to Mr. Abonogo Emmanuel. He received a cheque of GHc10,000.00 as his price. the staff couldn’t hold back their joy and approval of his award as the general staff jumped into excitement as the CEO mentioned his name.
A staff of the company said ” I am happy for the guy. He has taken the work as if that is his last job. He often report to the depot even before it is opened. He is too dedicated to the job.”
