
The Assistant Director of Prisons in the Upper East Region of Ghana, ADP Yakubu A. Ibrahim expressed gratitude in a written letter to the Alagumgube Association for their generous donation to the Navrongo Prisons. Led by Mrs. Caroline Vida Kurugu, the association donated several essential items, including 50 bags of 25 kg rice, 5 large gallons of cooking oil, 5 boxes of tin tomatoes, and 10 student mattresses.

According to ADP Ibrahim, the gesture from the Alagumgube Association will significantly enhance the welfare of the inmates. He emphasized their deep appreciation for this kindness and prayed for abundant blessings in return.
The Navrongo Prison Commander also conveyed his gratitude to the members of the Alagumgube Association, particularly its founding member, Mr. Gabriel Agambila, also known as Prince Akakire. With the festive season approaching, he highlighted the importance of showing care for the less privileged.
The Alagumgube Association recognized the need to support the Navrongo Central Prison by contributing essential supplies. The donation was facilitated by Madam Caroline Kurugu, Mr. Raymond Azaksia, Professor Abiriya Martin, and other members of the association on behalf of the Diaspora branch.

Upon receiving the donation on behalf of the inmates, Rev. DSP Joachim Yenimi Bogre noted the timely and invaluable nature of the contribution. He discussed the economic hardships affecting food supplies, emphasizing the reliance on organizations like the Alagumgube Association for support.
ADP Yakubu A. Ibrahim thanked the leadership of the Alagumgube Association and appealed to all well-meaning Ghanaians and philanthropists to provide support, especially during the festive season.

DSP Joachim Yenimi Bogre also made a plea for medical supplies and sewing machines to aid in training inmates interested in learning the trade. The inmates expressed their joy at receiving the donation, singing praises to God for the blessings and love shown to them by the Alagumgube Association. They thanked the group and prayed for the success of its members.
