RE: AUTOMATIC PROMOTION FOR SCHOOL CHILDREN IN 2021
I have seen a publication on peacefmonline.com misconstruing what I originally said on the issue of promotion of pupils in the next academic year.
I did not state that there shall be automatic promotion when school finally resumes.
I was speaking in an interview on Kumasi-based Hello FM, explaining how the Ministry of Education may adopt suitable International Best Practices used to reclaim lost contact hours that happen as a result of emergencies like hurricanes and pandemics when school finally resumes.
I see the said publication as skewed and misleading, and therefore urge the public to disregard it.
