Charles Taleog Ndanbon, the parliamentary candidate for the New Patriotic Party has been touring the constituency and interacting with farmers. He has been to areas including Kparipii ,Kpari, Ndanbug , Yakote ,Kong- Yakin ,Zoliba-Tindongo ,Daliga boug ,Zobigo-Gbanwaa boug Logreyakin and Woog valleys and interacting with rural farmers.

Speaking exclusively to Word news, Hon Charles Taleog Ndanbon indicated that he would be assisting some of the farmers with fencing wires to fence their farms. He visited the areas to have an in-depth knowledge on the needs and plight of farmers in the constituency.

Charles Taleog Ndanbon indicated that the Member of Parliament for the constituency has failed his constituents in terms of agriculture for the past seven years.

He noted that Hon. Mark Kurt Nawaane has done his best, but fatigue has overpowered him. He emphasized that he is coming in with new energy to help farmers improve on their produce.

“The MP has failed the people of Nabdam, what I want to do now is that, I will get some experienced agriculture extension officers to trained the farmers, it is because the some farmers lack training that is why the farmers do not produce to meet the ready market and that is why traders will always bypass farmers and go to Burkina Faso to buy tomatoes and others vegetables. I want those Traders to always come to Nabdam constituency to purchase tomatoes and vegetables”.

He hinted on his target to desilt some of the old dams and construct new dams where the need arise as well as the drilling of solar power mechanised boreholes to reduce the burden farmers in the constituency.

Yen Gbougwaa, a farmer from the Gbanwaa boug farming Valley, told Word News that, their main challenge in the valley is fence wires and sustainable dams and pleaded with Charles Taleog Ndanbon to support them to fence their farms and help them get solar-powered mechanized boreholes to empower them to produce more crops.

Zedong Sampana, another farmer in the Kong-Yakin also told Word news that their main challenge as farmers within the area is water and most of the time the dam gets dry up. He appealed to Charles Taleog Ndanbon to assist them fence their farms and get them a dam or a mechanised solar power boreholes to help reduce their financial burden through purchasing of fuel.
