
The former assembly member for the Vea electoral area in Bongo district of the Upper East Region has donated a canoe to support workers who ply their daily activities within the Vea environs

The Vea Dam is currently full to its capacity and has started spilling off excess water through the spillway.
Speaking exclusively to word news, Hon. Baba Timothy noted that he noticed how most government workers during the dam spillage struggle to cross the dam to work. Canoe operators over charge them.
“As part of safety measures put in place to mitigate the annual suffering of our dear hard working teachers and health workers, commuting /crossing the VEA dam spillage way.
I wish to announce to the general public that all the following people will cross free of charge using his canoe/ boat

Vea Health Center Nurses/Health personnel or officers assign to to work at Vea Health Center or its ancillary CHIPS within the Vea enclave and Pregnant women on health transfer.
Teachers/Officers’ teaching or assigned to work in Vea schools: ie. Tanga -pooren KG and Primary, Vea KG, Primary and JHS, Kulpelga KG, Primary and JHS.
Agricultural Extension officers assigned to Vea as well as all media”. he noted
The canoe has the same”inscription Alupalga canoe transport services” with a well trained sailor on board he added .
