While NDC Walked To IMF, NPP Was Pushed On A Stretcher – JDM


 
The Former President, John Dramani Mahama has criticised the New Patriotic Party (NPP) for calling him incompetent during his tenure as President.

Addressing delegates in the Bolgatanga Central and East Constituencies, the Former President said before the NDC government went to the International Monetary Fund (IMF), it organised a forum to update Ghanaians on the need to go for the fund.

He said the NPP refused to listen to Ghanaians and insisted the economy was strong, and that they would never go to the IMF.

“Today the NPP is at the IMF on a stretcher,” he said.

He said there were inconsistent dates on which the IMF would approve Ghana’s request.

The Former President noted that even though Professors of Economists cautioned government on several occasions about the state of Ghana’s economy then, the Finance Minister insisted Ghana’s economy was strong and they would not go to the IMF.
