A benevolent member of the New Patriotic Party, Mr. Matthew Amoah, has presented 16 motto bicycles to the support the activities of the party in the Bolgatanga East Constituency ahead of the election of 2024.

The 16 brand new Sonlink motto bicycles were presented to the constituency executives at the forecourt of the party constituency office in Delugu, a suburb of Zuarungu for onward distribution to the 16 electoral areas. The donation is meant to supplement existing logistics and materials at the disposal of party officers within the Constituency to enhance the electoral fortunes of the party.
In an interview with Word News after the gesture, Mr. Amoah said he was hopeful the motto bicycles would help in the movement of party officers and aid in party work geared towards breaking the proverbial ‘Eight’ and ‘stopping the 12’ which has come to mean unseating the incumbent NDC’s Dr. Dominic Ayine who has been the member of Parliament since the inception of the Bolga East Constituency in 2012.
”This party has done so much for me and if I have made something out of the party, it is just the right thing to give back to the party. With the kind of leadership the president is leading the nation, it is possible to beak ‘the eight’ and we will need to empower our people at the grassroots to be able to do the work and that is my motivation for the donation”.
He also promised that this was just the beginning of many donations in the run-up to the 2024 election.
“There is a new face coming into the Bolgatanga-East and want to tell the NDC that we will give them a run for their money.”
The Chairman of the party at the constituency, Alhaji Asumbere Karim on behalf of the Constituency, Electoral Area and Polling Station Executives expressed appreciation to Mattew Amoah for the kind gesture and promised that they will ensure that the machines are used for the utmost benefit of the party.
” We are grateful to our brother Mattew for this donation and we are ready to work in unity to ‘break the eight’ and ‘stop the 12’ in the Bolgatanga East Constituency”
The Chairman also called on all party members to follow the footsteps of Mattew Amoah in donating to the party to aid its activities hence ensuring that they ‘break the 8’.
The 33-year-old businessman from Zuarungu- Daborin is rumoured to have his eye on the Bolgatanga-East Parliamentary seat but only time will tell.
