
The Zuarungu Nursing and Midwifery Training Colledge has rewarded three of it’s continuing students and two teaching staff during it’s 2021/2022 academic year matriculation ceremony held at the school premises.
The awardees were given a semister school fees scholarship for placing first in their respective classes while those who emerged second were given parcels of gifts. Other goodies, recognitions and certificates were given to students who excelled academically.
The students who received the awards for their academic prowess included; Apota Emmanuella Salamatu, Zanleribil Lessica Bonga, Santomah Charles, Awine Emmanuel, Kwesi Vera Anet, Amadu Lucadia

Santomah Charle, Kwesi Vera Anet and Amadu Lucadia were adjudged the best students who excelled in their academic fields and were given a scholarship not to pay for the next semester fees.
In the same vein, two tutors also received awards for their hard work and dedication to the collage over the period.
The announcement of Mr.Asore Baba Ebenezer as the overall best tutor and madam Akunvane Ramatu as the second best tutor was greeted with a lot of cheers and applause.

When the name Mr.Asore’s name was mentioned as the overall best tutor, the crowded students shouted his name in acceptance as one sung his name in praise.
The principal of the collage, Mr. Michael Yidaana in his address extolled the achievement of the school over the last 15 years of it’s establishment.
According to the principle, of the collage achieved, “100% pass rate in the past three years in the Diploma KNUST exams, except this year that we dipped a bit choking 92% which is still within the upper quartile of statistical performance. With the professional N&MC exams, the NAC performance in the last three years have been 82.3% and 96.9% in 2018 & 2019 and in the last released results in 2020 ,we had 100% still within the upper quartile performance.”
Mr. Yidana noted that the school’s prowess was as a result of the practical and student centered curricular that is being ran in the school.
“Fifteen years of academic excellence anchored on competency-based curricular and teaching where we try as much as possible to make the pedagogy a student centered one.” he noted.
But, this he said would have amounted to a theoretical concept if not for the commitment and quality of his teaching staff.
” I must say that all these achievement is due to the dedication and hard work of the tutors of the college in particular and the non teaching staff.”- The Principal contended.
