The headmaster of Bolgatanga Senior High School (Big Boss) in the Upper East Region of Ghana, Mr. Anthony Adimazoya, has expressed his gratitude to the Old Students Association, Tangabisi.
Mr. Adimazoya described the renovation carried out by Tangabisi as a demonstration that true education does not end at graduation. According to him, it is about returning to support one’s alma mater and making a lasting difference for those who come after.

He said the official handing over of the renovated Ampofo and Mandela dormitory blocks is more than just the commissioning of a refurbished building. It is a powerful reminder that the bond between the school and its old students remains strong. Mr. Adimazoya, together with the entire management, staff, and students of Bolgatanga Senior High School, extended heartfelt appreciation to the old students for their generous intervention.

He noted that the renovation will provide students with a safer, more dignified, and more conducive living environment. The headmaster added that the renewed facility will improve students’ comfort, strengthen their sense of belonging, and help them focus better on both their academics and personal development.
He emphasized that the Ampofo/Mandela block carries a meaningful legacy, representing qualities such as hard work, discipline, courage, leadership, and service, which the school hopes students will embrace.

Mr. Adimazoya stated that the renovated facility will continue to serve as a home for young people being prepared to lead, contribute, and help Ghana succeed and be proud. He appealed to parents, individuals, groups, and alumni to continue supporting Bolgatanga Senior High School as it strives to provide quality education and prepare responsible citizens for the nation.
Speaking exclusively on behalf of the student body, the head student of Badiburu Keziah Wemoyei expressed deep appreciation to the old association for the gesture.

She described it as a privilege to have Tangabisi back, saying that they came to give what they once received to their younger ones. She further said the old students did not only renovate a building, but also left behind a legacy.
According to her, Tangabisi’s action has taught students that the bond between the school and its students does not end at graduation, but goes beyond that.
She also expressed the hope that one day they too would return as old students to give back to the school, and that their return would not be the last time they contribute to support younger students at Big Boss whenever opportunities arise.
