The New Patriotic Party Parliamentary Candidate, Mr. Charles Taleog Ndanbon, has made a significant contribution to persons with disabilities in the Nabdam constituency. He donated plastic chairs, Wellington boots, and cutlasses, along with an undisclosed monetary amount.

The donation of plastic chairs aims to provide support for persons with disabilities during their meetings. After presenting the items, Hon. Charles Taleog Ndanbon spoke exclusively to Word News, expressing his awareness of the challenges faced by persons with disabilities. He pledged to address these issues over time and urged them to vote for him in the upcoming parliamentary elections to help change the narrative in the Nabdam constituency.

Mr. Taleog Ndanbon emphasized the valuable experience he gained as an assembly member for the Zoliba Tindongo electoral area and at the constituency level, and now as the regional organizer for the New Patriotic Party.

Mr. Ndoyine B. Solomon, the district president of the Ghana Federation of Disability Organizations (GFD), expressed gratitude to Mr. Taleog Ndanbon for his support. He noted that many of their plastic chairs were broken, which created challenges during meetings. Mr. Solomon shared that the request for support led to the successful organization of the donation, which included plastic chairs, Wellington boots, and cutlasses.
He mentioned that there are approximately 766 registered members of persons with disabilities in the area. Many of them face difficulties due to unemployment, and the quarterly 3% common fund is insufficient. He hopes for additional financial support to assist members in need.
Mr. Solomon also called on philanthropists to help create job opportunities for those who are not gainfully employed, stressing that the current support is inadequate given the large number of persons with disabilities in the community.
