The 2020 Ghana Teaching and Non-Teaching prize awards of the Ghana Education Service which took place at Cape Coast, capital of the Central Region, on the 5th October, 2020, saw Mr. Michael Asampana Abembila of DEO in the Bongo District adjudged the first runner-up for the non-teaching category. The colorful event which was carried live by national radio and television stations, was part of activities marking the World Teachers Day. For his Prize, Mr. Asampana Abembila took home a refrigerator, a laptop computer, a 43 inch TV set and a certificate. The ceremony was graced by President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo, Minister for Education, Dr. Mathew Opoku Prempeh among other dignitaries. Mr. Asampana Abembila won the Regional best in August, 2020 to represent the Upper East Region at the National level.
